DESCRIPTION: At TCG’s “Convergence” gathering in May, over 100 white attendees came together to discuss our white supremacist responses to COVID-19, and how we can take action to combat racial inequity in our relationships, our organizations, and our communities. On June 2, we’ll convene again, with renewed urgency as communities across the country protest the brutal murders of multiple black individuals in quick succession at the hands of white police officers and civilians (all against the backdrop of the ongoing global pandemic). Our focus now will be accountability: how are we taking immediate and urgent action, demanding justice and transformation, while prioritizing right relationship to both BIPOC and other white anti-racists? How can we answer the calls for solidarity when they come, and make sure that our white colleagues, friends, and family members are by our side as we do? We encourage you to join us for this session even if you were unable to attend in May.
