Arrive promptly at the SJCC Technology Center before 8 AM every weekday morning, for the 2 weeks the Workshop runs, and stay until each day is done, but no later than 5 PM. On some days, you will be boarding a bus at 8 AM, to visit worksites and training centers. 

Recognize safety issues, and adhere to any and all safety regulations at all times and in all locations. Some sites will require you to use specific equipment, which we will provide. This can include hearing and eye protection, hard hats, and other equipment. Follow instructions.

Behave professionally at all times. Treat this training opportunity as a privilege and act as if you are in a workplace at all times.

Show respect to others, including fellow students, workshop staff, instructors, and guests. Many professionals you’ll meet have taken time away from regular work to be with you. Applause at the conclusion of a presentation is appropriate and welcome.

Complete skills checks as if they were exams in a regular college class. These skills checks will include both written assessments and hands-on demonstrations.

Support others who are participating in the workshop. Many activities will be conducted as part of a team, and working together will help accomplish the goals of these activities. Ask for help when you need it, from a classmate, instructor, or other workshop staff.

Permit use of photos and video that include an image of you, by organizers and presenters for any non-commercial purpose, and to share your contact information with presenters so they can follow up with you.

Commit fully to successful completion of the workshop.
