Foster 2023 Talent Show Audition Sign Up
We are so excited to welcome Foster's Finest to perform at the 2023 Foster Talent Show! This is a great way to celebrate the performing arts and give our students a chance to share their talents with the Foster Community! 

In the past we have had a variety of performances - students play instruments, sing, and dance! And other talents are welcome as well - comedy, special skills, and more!  If you have a special talent we would love to include it in our show! 

Audition Information

What? An audition for an elementary school talent show?

Yes, we do have "auditions" - but the purpose is to help our parent volunteers get to know the performers and the performances, which helps us plan the show. The “audition” process also ensures your child is comfortable performing in front of others and will be successful on stage. You can assist with this process by coaching your child in advance; parents should know what their child is planning to perform at auditions.  All students who are interested in performing in the Foster Talent Show should complete the form below.

Auditions will be held after school at Foster on March 27 and March 28 from 2:30 - 4:00.  Audition days will be assigned once all audition forms have been received. Depending on the number of auditions, we may add a third day of auditions on March 29. 

Due to the nature of the audition process, we cannot assign specific audition times.  Performers will be dismissed from their classroom to the Presentation Room after school on their audition day.  Parents/Caregivers are welcome to meet their child/children in the Presentation Room and wait for their audition to be completed OR students can wait in the Presentation Room under the supervision of our Talent Show Volunteers and be picked up anytime after their audition but no later than 4:00 pm. 

Audition Sign Up forms are due on March 15.

Special Notes:
*The act should be near final state.  Bring props, instruments, or accompanying tracks to the audition.
*Piano accompaniment is available.  Please indicate that need in your act description.
*Acts should not exceed 2.5 minutes - and you may be asked to shorten your act if we need to adjust the length of the show to allow as many students as possible to participate. 
*Please help your child/children choose an appropriate performance piece. Lyrics and movement should be family-friendly. 
*Students may perform in more than one act, but please complete a form for each

This year we would love to feature Foster graduates and Foster Community Members in our show!  If you know someone who would be interested in performing, please let us know below!
