NCCER heavy equipment operator training is a 16 week, 12-15 hour per week training that includes both in-person meetings and online coursework. Once you have completed this registration, a Catholic Charities program staff member will walk you through the next steps of onboarding and enrollment. The class will begin once all ten trainee slots have been filled.
Students will also need to apply for funding through the New Mexico Workforce Connections. In preparation for your application, please gather the following documents:
1. A copy of their social security card
2. A hard copy of their current resume (we can support you in creating one)
3. Picture ID reflecting date of birth
4. Proof of Selective Service Registration (males born after January 1, 1960 - you can find your registration information using the following website:
https://www.sss.gov/verify/)
5. Proof of income for the last six months (if you are employed)
