ABOUT PROCESS:
We are basically removing water from your food without any preservatives or additives of any kind. We have two processes to dry food, COLD and HOT! COLD PROCESS suits best to dishes with tough beans like Rajma, Chole; any paneer or milk based recipes, Asian food, and Spring Rolls are great! Simple rice, upma, poha and basic dals can be done in HOT PROCESS.
Check out our menu to get more ideas of things you can cook, but basically anything can be dried for you to eat globally.
TEXTURE AND NUTRITION:
HOT PROCESS leads to dehydrated food, it is hard and usually brittle. COLD PROCESS leads to freeze dried food that is porous, has an airy texture, and feels as if it will crumble if you squeeze it between your fingers. Both dehydrated food and freeze dried food retain a high nutrition profile. Because freeze dried removes more moisture than dehydrated, freeze dried does have a longer shelf life.
REHYDRATION BASED ON PROCESS:
Freeze dried food rehydrates faster with just hot water due to the more porous nature of freeze dried food. Both methods will leave you with a shelf stable product, and buying one over the other usually comes down to personal preference, cost, and purpose.
CHARGES:
COLD PROCESS - ₹500/kg
HOT PROCESS - ₹300/kg (If total food below 5 kgs, ₹400/kg)
Minimum of 1 kg of any variant of food will be charged.
