Trave-Yeller is an annual fundraising event for Girls Empowered by Travel Nepal. GET-Nepal is a non-profit and non-governmental organization attempting to create opportunities for young women to change their lives and emerge as community changemakers through meaningful/purposeful travel.
Trave-Yeller has been organized by GET Nepal since 2018 to bring out inspirational travel stories every 8th of March. Through Trave-Yeller, we aim to spread a message on how travel is a force of change and is making a difference in people's lives. “Trave-Yeller 2023” is the sixth edition and this year. GET-Nepal is incorporating Motorbike Riding for outdoor experiences. The motorbike riding sector is traditionally male-dominated. We are promoting motorbike riding among girls/women with the concept of “Sisterhood on Wheels”. This ride is accessible to all community (Barrier free and doesn't limit anyone's participation), On this international women’s day, we are incorporating motorbike riding for women (18+age) to break the biases and build a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive following the route Kathmandu (Swayambhu - Kakani, Taragaon Resort) and back.
We are collaborating with WIMA-Nepal (Women’s International Motorcycle Association) for this Trave-Yeller riding event. WIMA Nepal is a newly formed country division of WIMA International that is aimed to work for women in motorcycling-related activities around the world.
Why Fundraising?
The raised funds from the event will go to support one of the leading projects, Sustainable Tourism Initiative, providing Entrepreneurship trainings in Gre village.
