For the purpose of this question, a disposable diaper insert is a pad like absorbent layer that is put into a reusable waterproof cover. The cover is fastened around baby to hold the diaper insert in place. When changing baby, the diaper insert can be replaced keeping the same cover for 2 to 5 diaper changes.
