CRI Coach Talk 6 - 4/23/19
Hey Coaches and Coxswains!  Thanks to everyone who came to chat with Dr. Erin McConnell in March. Hope you're all out on the water making fast boats.  Check out the details below for CRI Coach Talk 6 and come learn how to protect your coach/cox voice!

All coaches and coxswains are welcome!

Please RSVP Below for:
CRI Coach Talk 6
Tuesday, April 23rd
7:00pm - 8:30pm
@CRI's Harry Parker Boathouse

Topic: Healthy Voice
Presenter: Jennifer Winston, Speech Language Pathologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital
Facilitator: Tom Siddall - IRL Fellow 2019

Description: Come share in a discussion with clinical voice specialist Jennifer Winston on a bit of anatomy and physiology, how the voice works, what things/behaviors are healthy or unhealthy, how to prevent injury, and generally how to care for your voice.

Questions for Coaches/Coxswains to think about in preparation:
1. When has your voice been hoarse, included vocal pain, and/or fatigue?
2. Have you ever felt a lump in your throat, lost your voice periodically, or had difficulty maintaining vocal loudness?
3. What questions do you still have post Coach Talk 4?

We'll be meeting in the CRI Classroom to share some delicious food and talk about rowing.  This invitation is open to any coaches or coxswains that can make it from along the river, at CRI, and in the area.  Come ready to connect with fellow coaches/coxswains, share ideas from personal experience, and learn from others.  Please signup and share this with others that might be interested.
