Takeover Tournament May 25-26th - McNeese

This event is showcase style games which allows teams to play how ever many games you'd like. If you team can only play on Saturday. No problem come on down play 2-3 games on Saturday and you can head back home. If your team wants to play 2 games Saturday and 2 games on Sunday we can make that work as well. The flexibility in this event is what makes it so special as we can also play your team up or down in the level of competition to allow for great competitive games for everyone.

It's very important to us to support those that are willing to support OUR girls and we're excited to begin a new partnership with the Lake Charles Tourism Committee!

The city of Lake Charles is looking forward to working with LGR and girls basketball to bring future opportunities and events! We hope that this relationship continues to provide opportunities for OUR girls and with that being said we have officially moved the Takeover Tournament from New Orleans to Lake Charles.

Host site will be McNeese State University

This event is also open to ALL High School (School teams) as well given that the LHSAA Summer rules officially start. These games will be real games with stopping clock and give your team a great opportunity to kick the summer off right.

*Our goal is to create competitive matchups for everyone in the event. If you are an "elite" 8th grade team you will of course play other "elite" 8th grade teams but you may play a "competitive" 9th grade team.
Another example would be a competitive 6th grade team may play a developmental 7th grade team.
