Started by Bay Area students in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Inara Mentoring is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping middle school students motivated and productive during quarantine as well as providing guidance through the transition from middle to high school.
After two successful sessions, we are currently looking to recruit more motivated high schoolers to serve as mentors for local incoming high school freshmen for our 2021 Summer Session that is taking place July 1 to July 31. As mentors, selected volunteers will have the opportunity to guide and support younger students by giving a crash course on high school and sharing their experience and advice with underclassmen while earning volunteer hours and developing interpersonal skills! Mentors will also have the opportunity to serve as panelists for weekly workshops that cover broad topics about high school.
Please fill out this form below if you would like to apply to be a high school mentor for Inara. Priority will be given to those who apply earlier.
If you attend a middle or high school located in a town included in the document attached below, you are eligible to apply as an Inara mentor of the Santa Clara County branch.
