Join our Volunteers!

Davis CAN will support our growing movement with an intentional three-part community engagement model: policy action teams, community events, and mobilizing the community for specific action events.

Policy & Research Teams will gather models and best practices from other municipalities and current research to develop potential solutions for Davis. Vetted resources will be added to the DCAN webpage for public use.

Community Events Team will bring the community together for speaker series, forums, workshops, family-friendly events and more. We will plan fundraisers for specific housing and climate related campaigns.

Mobilizing Team will lead outreach and communications while also participating an ongoing Deep Canvassing campaign to connect with the community door to door and around town. This team will also be set up to participate in Mutual Aid work happening locally. Mobilizing team will also act as the information hub for important votes, events, and news!

Are you a parent or guardian of a current or future DJUSD student? Join us to learn more about how housing impacts our district enrollment and what we can do to support the future of DJUSD. We will be hosting events and sharing info specifically for families.
