Fill out this registration if you would like to participate in the BattlePoker League Season 1, a new format for weekly play.  Please read the full description below before submitting your registration!

The structure of the league is that players will be assigned to play one match every Thursday evening at 9pm EDT (New York City time zone).  There will be six weeks of matches and the top eight players at the end of the normal play period from will move onto the League Finale match.  Please see the full schedule below.  Only register if you are willing and able to compete over the course of this event (a weekly game as per the schedule below).  Signing up and failing to take part in the event if you qualify will be grounds to be disqualified from future BPL events.  

There will be a two week qualification period beginning on May 17th and ending at 11:59pm EDT, May 31st.  At the end of the qualification period, the 32 players with the *top peak MMRs during the qualification period* will be entered into the league for competition.  In order to track peak MMRs, players are expected to post full in-game screenshots in the #league-qualification channel.  Note, in order to allow the mods to easily track and update posts, we will only allow in-game screenshots in this channel.   Screenshots must be from games that have taken place during the qualification period.  Text discussion or banter of any kind in this channel is grounds for disqualification!

Each week, different lobbies will be formed from the league participants, and points will be awarded depending on placement.  Thus, a player will earn points each week depending on performance in their games.  At the end of the six weeks, the lowest score for each player will be dropped, and the remaining scores will be summed for a total score.  The top eight players in total score will be invited to the League Finale.  The League Finale will have TBA prizes, which will include in-game skins along with at least a $100 total cash prize.

Rules:
1)    Players are expected to behave themselves.  While light banter is acceptable, personal attacks or insults against other players in either text chat or voice chat during the tournament are unacceptable.
2)    Racist, sexist, or any other text or speech discriminating against any player or any group is absolutely prohibited.
3)    During the qualification period, players are expected to self-report their peak MMR in the #league-qualification channel.  The league organizers will use this data to determine who qualifies.  Screenshots must be uploaded before June 1st.  All other posts (text, irrelevant images, etc.) in this channel are prohibited.  
4)    Qualified players are expected to show up to their weekly matches.  Players who do not show up for the match will be assigned 8th place for score purposes that week.  At the end of the six weeks, each player's lowest score will be removed, so players will not be penalized if they have to miss one week.  
5)    If qualified players must miss a league game, they are expected to inform the tournament organizers ASAP.  Missing 2 or more matches without contacting league organizers will be subject to barring from future events.
6)    Players are not allowed to reveal their hand while there is still betting action left.  After all betting has ended a player may choose to reveal their hand.  Similarly, players are prohibited from asking other players what they have while betting is occurring.  
7)    Players are not allowed to private message other players in their Table during the game.  
8)    Players who specify their bet ahead of their turn (either in voice or in text) are expected to commit to that.  I.e., players will not be allowed to say things like, “I’m going to call anything” and then fold if someone raises.  
9)   Players must use English in table text/voice chat.  Use of code or other languages is forbidden.  

Players are expected to follow all rules.  Tournament organizers reserve the right to warn, disqualify, and ban participation in future events for breaking any rules.
