Organic Compound Farm Visit
Join the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance (RAA), Clean River Partners, and regenerative farmer Wil Crombie for a Farm Visit and tour of the Organic Compound Farm. Visitors will be able to see an established example of regenerative poultry, perennial crop, and vegetable production and have a chance to ask questions from a range of people throughout the sustainable farming community.
Following the farm tour (4pm-6:30pm) we will be having a community dinner gathering at Organic Compound featuring Tree-Range marinated chicken, cilantro-lime rice and beans, and fresh salads prepared by Just Food Co-Op.
Recently, many poultry farmers around the state have been concerned with the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), which is not harmful to humans, but can destroy poultry flocks. To protect the chickens at the Organic Compound, we will ask attendees to follow certain safety guidelines including wearing protective booties, parking away from the flock, and wearing clean clothes that have NOT recently been worn on other farms or processing plants. More information on these precautions will be sent out closer to the event.
