Do you want to become a Conflict Facilitator?

We are looking for people who have a direct and strong interest in facilitating Transformative Conflict Processes ongoingly, as part of the Transformative Conflict System that we are tending together with the XR UK community, and are able to make the commitment we are asking for.

The training we might be able to put together is an in-depth event over several days that we can only organise very occasionally. It's necessary to have done that training to join the conflict facilitator pool.

We are looking for people with:

* Willingness to engage in the personal exploration of your relationship with painful conflict, as well as power, privilege and oppression

* Enough support and stability in your own life to be able to do this work which can be emotionally intense

* Willingness to commit to volunteering to facilitate conflict processes within XR for a minimum of 1 year, with support, including having at least 1 case ongoing at a time for 9 out of 12 months of the year (we think it will be hard to do this while working 5 days a week)

* Willingness to commit to ongoing peer support and mentoring

* A strong interest in supporting people in conflict ongoingly, and a willingness to learn, receive feedback and develop your ability to do this work

* Willingness and capacity to support everyone involved in a conflict process, with empathy for everyone’s experience beyond ideas of right and wrong

* Ability to be present in person (or on Zoom while the pandemic is ongoing) to facilitate processes for XR UK Local Groups and Working Groups, as well as to handle communications through email and phone with people you will be supporting
