CA H&V Volunteer Interest Form
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with California Hands & Voices.

CA H&V is seeking individuals with different backgrounds and lived experiences, including race, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, or immigration status to join our team.  In addition, diversity encompasses dimensions of religion, gender, marital or family status, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, and other characteristics that comprise the DHH community.  We are looking for opportunities to equitably serve families including underrepresented populations. We look forward to growing our team with diverse individuals who: 
*Speak a language other than English
*Have experience raising a child who is DHH/DHH+/DeafBlind
*Have lived experience from an underserved community
*Individuals who have experience in or a passion to learn more about nonprofit organizations, etc. 

CA H&V volunteers must be respectful and non-judgmental manner regarding language opportunities, communication tools or educational approaches. We support all and truly understands that every child and every family has different needs. We are here to support you in supporting others. 

We are looking to expand our volunteer team to reach more families across the state!

OPTION 1: Volunteer as a Committee Member (All Regions of California)

*Serve in your community
*12-24 hours Per Year time commitment
*Network with diverse families throughout the state
*Host virtual and/or in-person events (depending on your comfort level)
*Represent CA H&V table at community events
*Promote CA H&V and H&V mission, events and resources throughout your community & state

You must live in the state of California and be able to support and uphold our philosophy and motto to volunteer for this position.

OPTION 2: NorCal Family Camp Committee Member 

*Serve in your community
*12-24 hours Per Year time commitment
*Network with diverse families in the Northern California area

Types of Committee Members include: 
*Coordinator 
*Camp Co-Directors (Parents of DHH children) who act as the MC at the event
*Children's Program Coordinator 
*Volunteer Coordinator 
*Arts & Crafts Coordinator
*Video/Slide Show producer 
*Camp Admin for printing name tags, 2 pocket folders, etc.
*Fundraising
*...and more!
