Volunteer Terms of Participation Agreement
Professionalism & Conduct: By applying to volunteer at Novacon, you agree to uphold the event’s expectations for professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude. Volunteers are expected to remain for the full duration of their assigned shifts. Leaving early without approval may result in immediate dismissal from the event and disqualification from future volunteer opportunities.
Substance-Free Environment:
Volunteers must arrive sober and remain free of drugs and alcohol while on-site. No substances of any kind are permitted on the premises. Any behavior giving reasonable suspicion of impairment or misconduct will result in removal and may be reported to authorities if necessary.
Training & Identity Verification:
All volunteers may be required to complete a brief training session prior to the event. Additionally, depending on the volunteer role, you may be asked to undergo a background check and provide personal identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID, to verify your identity and eligibility to participate.
Perks & Responsibilities:
Please note: Different volunteer roles and time commitments come with different levels of perks and access. Full details will be provided upon assignment.
Dismissal Policy:
Failure to comply with these terms or demonstrate appropriate conduct may result in immediate removal from the event grounds, forfeiture of perks, and disqualification from future volunteer opportunities.
