Fatiando a Terra - Community Survey 2022
About Fatiando

Fatiando a Terra is a collection of open-source Python packages, aimed primarily at Geophysics. It is built by a community of geoscientists and software developers with a passion for well-designed tools and helping our peers. We build tools like Pooch, Verde, Harmonica, Boule, Ensaio, and the fatiando library for Python 2.7 (these tools are we mean by "Fatiando software" below).

About this survey

This survey is being carried out to learn more about our community and how it uses Fatiando a Terra software. It should only take you 5-10 minutes to complete, but it will provide us with invaluable data. It will allow us to build a solid case for support when applying for grant funding, and to better focus our development efforts around our users' needs.

The preferred language for your answers is English, but we don't want language to be a barrier for your participation. Please feel free to write in another language if you feel more comfortable doing so. However, keep in mind that our survey team only includes fluent speakers of English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Other languages will be translated using Google Translator. Please indicate in the text box which language you are using (if not English).

How the data will be handled and published

All the information you provide will be anonymous by default, but you can choose to identify yourself at the end of the survey. Even if you choose to do so, the raw data and contact details will only be available to the survey working group. Names and contact details will be deleted from our database after one year from the closing of the survey. The anonymised processed data and results will be published on our website for all to see and use.
