In order to apply to be a Resident Assistant or Community Advisor you, must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the college.  

GPA:
Students applying to be an RFYP staff member must have at least a 2.5 GPA at the time of application.

Student Rights & Responsibilities:
While any violation within our Code of Conduct will be taken into consideration in the selection process, to be eligible to apply for a position, students must have 4 or less points at the time of application and throughout the selection process.

Please note that these dates and times are subject to change if necessary.

• November / December 2021 – Individual evaluation meetings with supervisor.

• January 26, 2022  – Applications for ARLC & RC positions due

• January 31 - February 2, 2022   – Interviews for candidates applying for the ARLC or RC positions

• February 4, 2022  – Letters will be sent to candidates regarding the ARLC & RC positions

• February 14, 2022 – Deadline for position acceptance confirmation for ARLC & RC positions (with roommate lists if applicable)

• February 15, 2022  – Returner RA/CA applications due

• February 17, 2022 – Interviews for returning staff (non-ARLC & RC)

• by March 14, 2022 - Letters sent to RA/CA candidates

• March 21, 2022 – Deadline for position acceptance confirmation for RA and CA positions

The dates listed below are based on the 2022-2023 Academic Calendar.  These dates are subject to change.

•Fall Training:
- Sunday, August 14  – Return date for Residence Coordinators & ARLCs

- Tuesday, August 16 – Return date for all Resident Assistants and Community Advisors

Note: All staff are required to stay for both hall closings (December 2022 & May 2023).  Also, please note the First-Year staff may be asked to remain on campus for Fall Reading Days if necessary to provide adequate coverage in the halls.

•Winter Break & Training:
Sunday, December 18, 2022 – Staff free to leave after 12pm.
Friday, January 13, 2023 – ARLCs & RCs must return for Winter Training.
Friday, January 13, 2023  - RAs, CAs, HLs returning from abroad must return for Winter Training
Sunday, January 15, 2023 – All remaining staff return to campus.
Friday, January 20 - Saturday, January 21, 2023 - Winter training for all staff

•End of Year Closing:
Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Staff free to leave after 12pm.
