Rain Gardens to the Rescue 2024 Workshop Series
Thank you for your interest in learning more about rain gardens! The educational workshop series is FREE and open to the public. We encourage you to fill out the form below so we know you're coming. 
If you have any questions or need accommodations, please reach out to RainSmart@therouge.org before the first class.

Classes will take place from 6-8pm at Salina Intermediate School (link to Google Map), 2623 Salina St, Dearborn, MI 48120 EXCEPT Workshop 4 - maintenance will take place at a nearby garden location (TBD).

Workshop Course Schedule:
  1. Wed. May 29 - Introduction to Rain Gardens
  2. Wed. June 5 - Native Plants, Site Conditions and Garden Sizing
  3. Wed. June 12 - Rain Garden Design Exercise
  4. Thurs. June 20 - Just Weed It! Maintenance Workshop (*Note, no class Wed. June 19; staff off for Juneteenth Holiday)
  5. Wed. June 26 - Design Reveal & Class Celebration
Attendance at every workshop class is only REQUIRED IF you are receiving a garden through our application process or wish to receive potential funding assistance for a garden planting of your own. This opportunity will be explained more in detail at the first workshop - please attend or reach out to us via email.

جدول دورة ورشة العمل:
  1. تزوج. 29 مايو - مقدمة إلى الحدائق المطيرة
  2. تزوج. 5 يونيو - النباتات المحلية وظروف الموقع وحجم الحديقة
  3. تزوج. 12 يونيو - تمرين تصميم حديقة المطر
  4. الخميس. 20 يونيو - فقط تخلص منه! ورشة الصيانة (*ملاحظة، لا يوجد فصل دراسي يوم الأربعاء 19 يونيو؛ الموظفون في عطلة بمناسبة عطلة Juneteenth)
  5. تزوج. 26 يونيو - الكشف عن التصميم والاحتفال بالفصل الدراسي

  5. Casarse. 26 de junio: Revelación del diseño y celebración de la clase
La asistencia a cada clase del taller solo es OBLIGATORIA SI está recibiendo un jardín a través de nuestro proceso de solicitud o desea recibir posible asistencia financiera para plantar su propio jardín.
