Bear Creek UMC School is offering two 4-week Summer Fun Sessions for young children (through completed 2nd grade) in June and July – this is in addition to our regular full-day extended care programming. Our Summer Fun program provides a variety of hands-on experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem solving, innovation, creativity and collaboration. Enriching teacher-led projects to stimulate child discovery through small and large group activities. Summer is one of the most exciting times of the year for young children! It can often be associated with breaks and relaxation; however, it doesn’t mean that your child’s learning and peer social interactions should take a break. In fact, summer is the perfect time to continue active learning to prevent a pause in your child’s education. One of the simplest ways to keep children learning during summer is keep them in their early learning program.
The children will be grouped by age with their peers in small groups to experience fun-filled days through a balanced approach to self-discovery, learning, active play and rest, as well as indoor and outdoor experiences taking into account each child’s needs.
