Thanks for your desire to compete in the Austin regional Academic WorldQuest (AWQ) competition! Please answer the questions below to register your team. We are planning to host the AWQ ONLINE via ZOOM on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Who is the point of contact for this team? The contact person will be responsible for ensuring we have the completed forms for each student prior to the competition.

Team Members *

Four team members will be allowed to compete in the official competition. We also encourage each team to have 1 -2 alternate team members, just in case. Please include the grade level of all students listed.

I certify that this team is comprised of students from the same high school.

I certify that this high school is located in one of these counties: Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis or Williamson.

I certify that my team will be in attendance and ready to compete before 10:00 am on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

I believe my students will have access to a computer/smartphone and Zoom in order to participate in the competition on February 20, 2021.

I understand that the 1st Place team will be invited to compete at the Carlos and Malú Alvarez National Academic WorldQuest contest in Washington DC. (April 16-17, 2021).

I understand that the World Affairs Council of Austin will not be responsible for the Washington DC travel expenses for the winning team.

The contact person listed above will be sent permission slips and release forms that need to be filled out by all team members and alternates. Teams should return all completed forms prior to or on the day of the competition (2/20/2021). Please note that students without completed release forms will not be allowed to compete.
