Eligibility for each program varies by age and income, and some enrollment options require additional applications.
If you may be eligible for Head Start or NC Pre-K based on your interest form, our staff will follow up with you about next steps for completing these applications (typically available in March each year). NC Pre-K and Head Start child selection is determined by those program enrollment priorities, which include age, income, access to preschool, and family circumstance.
If there are more interested children than slots for our Tuition option, we assign children by lottery, with staff children, Pre-K 4s, students with disabilities, and siblings receiving priority.
