It’s been nearly one year since the class of 2020 graduated in the middle of a devastating pandemic. Since then, those graduates have triumphed and struggled in the face of several ongoing crises. First-generation college students have been some of the hardest hit, and their stories should be heard.
My name is Zipporah Osei and I write First Gen, a newsletter for and about underserved college students. I’m also a first-gen member of the class of 2020 and know first-hand how the past year has colored the post-grad lives of first generation college students. I want to reach other recent graduates and hear about their experiences — the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Is this you? Please help me by filling out the form below and sharing your story. I want to be able to paint a complete, accurate picture of our class one year later and you can be part of sharing those stories. Nothing personal you tell me will go into the newsletter without your permission.
Please share your experiences with us by clicking “start” and answering a few questions. You can also contact me any time at
