We are so excited for the coming Uthden Troll Cup festival on 3, 4 and 5 November 2023 at Boutique Hotel Catshuis in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. We hope you are too!
We hope you like the program for this year. We start on Thursday evening with a casual meeting at Grand Cafe Fire. As usual we have 2 main events the OS Swedish on Saturday and the Dutch Nationals Premodern on Sunday. UTC is no UTC without limited events so of course you can play a lot of limited repack events during the whole weekend. That's where the real magic happens ;-).
Last year we introduced the World Championship Swaffel (Swedish + Fallen Empires/Hymn restricted) our local favourite format. We liked it so much that this year we will kick off with the WC Swaffel on Friday! Who will take the crown and become the next King or Queen of Swaffel?
Also this year we have a new special event. As it is our 5th anniversary we introduce a new event: a Sealed repack event with the nostalgia of the 90's. We will do our utmost best to make this something really special (don't miss out ;-). Everyone who participates will get a 4th edition repack starter and 2 Chronicles and 2 Fallen empires repack boosters the moment you enter the building. During the weekend you can trade, build and test your deck. On Sunday we play the official Sealed tournament. This will be fun!
Our OS main Event is currently fully booked (128 players! awesome!). If you are preregistered or have an personal invitation you can check the box and pay. If you're not preregistered or invited you can opt for the waiting list. Usually about 5-15% of the players drop so there's still a chance you can attend the OS main event. And don't forget there are 5 other great events as well. Enough to have a great weekend anyway.
Payments
Your spot is not secured until you have paid. So please do so right away. Also make sure you register for all the events you like to participate in. The demand to play at Uthden Troll Cup is extremely high this year so we expect the other events to sell out soon as well.
If you are planning to attend one of the drafts on Friday or Saturday evening, but are also playing Swaffel or OS, there's a chance you will make it to top 8 and can't participate in the draft. In such case you'll get an immediate refund for the draft.
Cancellations
Maybe you are registering but are not sure you can attend yet. Or maybe life happens and you have to cancel. Good to know that if you cancel before October 1st you will get a full refund. After October 1 unfortunately we cannot refund you due to contracted obligations.
Lunch & Diners
In the Swaffel, Old School, PreModern and Special Sealed events lunch and/or diner is included in the price.
You will receive a google form a few weeks before the event starts to address special diet wishes etc.

- Your email - for us to be able to contact you
- Your name - to know you!
- Country - for statistics
- If you're travelling from abroad, when will you be arriving to Leeuwarden, Netherlands? - for us to plan a casual meeting on Thursday and in general a better tournament schedule for everyone! (optional).
