2022 Ship-to-Shore Live Interaction Request
Ship-to-shore live interactions are free programs intended for K-20 or homeschool classrooms, community events, science centers, aquaria, museums, or other learning facilities.

Shipboard broadcast capabilities aboard Exploration Vessel Nautilus enable students, educators, and public audiences to engage in unique two-way, live dialogue connections supported with visually-rich content hosted by scientists, engineers, educators, and mariner team members on Nautilus. Interactions are question-answer format lasting 20-30 minutes; please indicate your preference below. If you need an alternate format or timeline, please describe it below.

All live interactions are pre-scheduled. Please complete the form below to request a live interaction with the Corps of Exploration and OET staff will be in contact with further information.

Interactions are conducted free through Google Meet. Google Meet functions best in the Google Chrome browser. Learn more about Google Meet here [https://nautl.us/2Uq6E6i].  Interactions can also be scheduled through Zoom. For more information, refer to our Live Interaction Frequently Asked Questions. Completing this request form does not guarantee the availability of your preferred date/time. Our team is dedicated to creating opportunities to engage with explorer role models and will work with your needs to confirm a time. The larger your window of scheduling availability, the more likely we will be able to schedule an interaction with your group.

Use the comments field at the end of this form for additional questions or contact OET's Education Program Coordinator, Kelly Moran - kelly@oet.org.

Technical Information
Interactions are conducted through Google Meet or Zoom, two free online web-based video call platforms. Google Meet recommends a hardwired internet connection and Google Chrome.

A computer needs a microphone for presenters to hear audience questions. Internal laptop microphones work well, or external microphones are preferred for large rooms. We recommend testing your microphone and speakers in the event room ahead of the connection.
Live Event Details
The 2022 Nautilus Expedition season will take E/V Nautilus and the team through the Central Pacific Ocean from February to October. Live interactions with our team are available seven days a week with no timezone restrictions,  starting March 14th through October 13th 2022.

Throughout the season as the ship enters port for personnel transfers or occasionally encounters sea states or technical issues, broadcasts may be interrupted. Our team works to maintain regular broadcasts, but can not guarantee availability. If needed, alternative interaction dates and arrangements will be made.
