All applicants nominating that over 18 must enter their WWC Check Number as well as their DOB (including those that have done so before). Applicants will not be considered without a WWC check.
Coaches will be announced after relevant Junior & Senior State Cup Championships.
For Juniors and Seniors there are two separate selection policies in place. Please ensure that you read these prior to the trials.
Coaching Staff Code of Conduct;
Coaches must agree to the following:
- Attend all two/three days of the National Championships
- Attend presentation evening. (If one is available)
- Ensure all players are treated equally
- Host training sessions at venues booked by Hunter Miners Oztag. Coaching staff will be held accountable for any sessions outside this on grounds not booked.
- Adequately prepare training sessions for both the team and individuals where seen fit. Coaches should hold a minimum of eight sessions prior to National Championships.
- Ensure communication is clear with the team regarding training sessions and events
- Never argue with an referee or ground official
- Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials or players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opposition are not accepted and is a poor reflection on the association
- Ensure that all assistant coaches and managers are approved by the Management Committee before being appointed
- Not consume alcohol or drugs during the event.
- Coaches must act in a respectable manner when representing Hunter Miners Oztag including times outside the competition
- Only speak to selectors at the trials and not parents or players regarding selections
- Ensure players representing Hunter Miners Oztag are representing our region in a respectful manner both on and off the field including at accommodation sites
- Ensure their and relevant coaching staff’s Working with Children Check is currently valid for all Junior, U20 and Opens teams
