Theatre Practicum Clearance Form
Theatre Practicum classes offer credit for hands-on learning experience through involvement in department productions in casts, backstage, or in front of house positions. Grades are based on the quality of the commitment and work performed by the student. Additional details are enumerated the first week of each semester at the all-department meeting (required of all majors/minors) and in the Theatre Student Handbook.
1. This form must be completed by the sixth week of the semester.
2. Complete all sections.
3. Be specific in detailing what new skills will be worked on by the student this semester.
4. Only work in direct support of DEPARTMENTALLY sponsored productions qualifies for practicum.
5. Failure to turn in a form will result in a failing grade being assigned. (Institutionally, work must be accounted for to assign credit.)
6. Each section of Practicum must have a unique (new/different) skill/outcome/goal to assign credit for learning.
