WORKSHOPS
Each workshop will be offered three times on Saturday, at 9am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm.
     • "Spirituality of Icon Writing" Fr. Brian Coleman – An introduction to the spirituality of icon-writing with a demonstration of basic practice.
     • “Demystifying Episcopate Searches," Fr. Matthew Cowden, Candidate in the Recent Episcopal Election of Northern California — Views on the current process for discerning those called to episcopal orders from one who journeyed the path.”
     • "Decently and In Order," Fr. Jared Cramer – Preparing well-executed liturgy through customary, vergers, and well-trained laity.
     •  “The Diaconate," Ms. Alicia Hager — Contemporary concerns with restoring the full and ancient order of deacons, a view from someone who walked the path.
     • "Taking Jesus to Work," Dr. Elisabeth Kincaid — An exploration of basic scriptural themes crucial for developing a theology of Christian vocation in the workshop, as well as providing practical resources for teaching on these themes at the parish level.
     • “Baptism & Pure Water," Fr. Dan Scheid — Catholic spirituality at work responding to the Flint water crisis.

Also during the workshop time, members of the Society will be available by appointment for short sessions of Spiritual Counsel or the offering of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. You may sign up for those times when you arrive at the Conference.

Those attending the Conference who wish to lodge overnight in Grand Haven are encouraged to book your rooms early as August is a very busy time in our community, right here on the shores of Lake Michigan. There are several hotels available in Grand Haven and Spring Lake, and also in surrounding cities of Muskegon, Holland, and Grand Rapids.

Grand Haven, MI, is 45 miles from the Grand Rapids airport.

A nominal conference fee of $100 per individual ($170 per married/partnered couple) secures your registration, and covers the cost of your dinner on Friday, your lunch on Saturday, and the Conference offerings. Those only wishing to attend the Friday evening dinner and keynote may pay a reduced cost of $65, per person.

EARLY BIRD registration is currently open, discounted to $90 per individual ($160 per married couple). Early bird registration closes on  Sunday, April 21. After that, the normal registration rate will apply.

Some limited scholarships are available. Our desire is for any Christian who wants to attend this conference to be able to do so.
