Opening Remarks by Age Friendly Rhode Island (AFRI)

10:15 AM - 11:15 AM (1 hour): Panel Discussion - Age-Friendly Champions Share Their Stories

Learn from a panel of representatives from communities who are leading the charge in creating age-friendly environments.

The panel will discuss their experiences and insights, including:

  • Unique challenges and opportunities faced by their communities
  • Innovative programs and initiatives implemented.
  • Measurable outcomes and the impact on their communities.

11:15 AM - 11:30 AM (15 minutes): Q&A and Next Steps

An opportunity for audience members to ask questions and learn more about how they can get involved in sparking age-friendly work in their own communities.

  • Light breakfast will be served.
  • This event is free and open to the public.

  • Municipal leaders, planners, and community development staff.
  • Non-profit and service providers working with older adults.
  • Advocates currently or planning to engage in age-friendly work.
