BYLP Program Enrollment Form (Over 18)
The Black Youth Leadership Project (BYLP) has intentionally uplifted Black youth with fidelity for over two decades. Founded in 1999, BYLP establishes, develops, and implements educational programs for black youth in leadership development, youth empowerment, academic success, career development, emotional intelligence, media development, cultural awareness, and identity. All of our programs are youth- and whole-person-centered because that is who we serve, and they are partners in creating the support they need as they are the subject matter experts. BYLP prioritizes youth preferences in programs and messaging to ensure they resonate with our youth. Furthermore, BYLP cultivated support networks to add value and create safe spaces to combat the social unrest caused by racial targeting, discriminatory practices, a lack of resources and exposure opportunities, the school-to-prison pipeline, and the health disparities the Black community faces. BYLP additionally has consistent education programming through book clubs and community forums to meet the community where they are. The Black Youth Leadership Project is an organization that is youth-centered and operates with intentionality, providing holistic and whole-person-centered support and programming for youth from birth to adulthood.
