Field Project Committee Interest Form

North Portland Soccer Club has a vision to create safe and accessible soccer fields at every K-8 School in North Portland, temporarily titled the “Fields Project.” To make this possible we need to create three action committees led by volunteers. Our three committees will be:

  1.  Marketing & Communication 

    • Creating a diverse array of methods to share about the project using print and digital and in-person outreach strategies. 

    • ‘Branding’ the project to make it easily identifiable with our constituents and key stakeholders

    • Reaching out and responding to messages from stakeholder as project implementation begins

  2.  Design & Implementation

    • Working with each specific school and community partners to design the ideal soccer/futsal field for their site

    • Creating the logistic schedule, budget and identifying specific contractors for each school project. 

  3. Fundraising & Sustainability

    • Managing the fundraising campaign for the project, utilizing the diverse methods of fundraising including business partnerships, individual and private giving and grants

    • Working on the partner contracting and sustained funding plans for each site project to designate the continuous funding needs for multi-year maintenance and service.

Each action committee will need a committee chair, are you interested in this additional role? Committee Chair additional responsibilities include: attending the NOPO Board meetings if they would like (not required as a Nopo Board Member will be a member of each committee), leading meetings and setting agenda, designating a note taker for each meeting, and sending reminders to your committee about upcoming meetings and coordinating meeting changes if requested.
