The Chardon Hilltopper Team Camp is led by Hilltopper head coach, Mitch Hewitt and his football staff. The philosophy of the camp is to give student-athletes entering grades 5-8 an opportunity to learn the basics of the Hilltopper Offensive & Defensive schemes utilized by all Chardon football teams grades 7-12. Athletes will be broken into groups by the following positions: QB's, Running Backs, Tight Ends, Offensive Line, and Receivers on the offensive side of the ball and Defensive Backs, Defensive Line, and Linebackers on defense. It also provides an opportunity for players to work together as a team before formal practices begin.
In addition to the X’s & O’s aspect of Chardon football, campers will be introduced to the coaching staff and basic philosophies of the program. Current C.H.S. football players will be on hand to assist with the camp and interact with the campers.
