The Committee on College and Pre-College Russian (CCPCR) first started this census in 1984. SRAS, working with CCPCR, has taken over the survey as of 2020 and is now collecting data for 2023. All information from CCPCR has been migrated to SRAS.org and will remain freely available there. All new information will also remain freely available. The current survey is based in large part on The National K-12 Foreign Language Enrollment Survey, which was conducted by American Councils, MLA, ACTFL, and other organizations in 2017.  Any questions may be addressed to Josh Wilson at jwilson@sras.org.
