The ZLTAC tournament has become one of the most prestigious laser sports tournaments in the world and has accommodated for many amazing players and moments throughout the years. Traditionally we have celebrated these moments through the unofficial "Guardian Awards" but the ZLTAC Committee wants to acknowledge and award players that demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship in an official capacity. As we strive towards becoming a recognised sport, it is important that we represent ourselves well and the winners of the Sportsmanship Award are players who serve as role models for the Australasian Laser Tag community as a whole.
This form allows players (at the tournament) to submit a player that they feel is deserving of recognition for their sportsmanship. Simply provide your alias, the nominated player's alias and tell us about what the player has done to earn a Sportsmanship Award! The ZLTAC committee and volunteer leadership will vote on the submissions to determine who will earn one of the Sportsmanship Awards which will be announced at presentations!
Some historical examples of what we're looking for include one of last year's Guardian awards: Chuch taking time out to sit with and comfort a new player who was feeling overwhelmed during their first Women's event.
