There is no better way to get to know the residents than through volunteering, but some things to note:
• we work in all forms of weather outdoors—dress appropriately
• you'll need to be able to lift 25 lbs or more and be on your feet for an extended period of time
• volunteers must be at least 13 years old—anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 or older
• we are a vegan sanctuary, please do not bring non-vegan food/drink onto the property out of respect of the residents and our mission
• this is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
• companion animals are not permitted on the property

Georgia’s Place Bird Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

that rescues and provides life-long care for farmed birds who have been dumped, abused and/or neglected. We are also licensed to take in orphaned and injured wildlife to rehabilitate and release back into the wild.
