You will be asked to choose a sponsor who is older than 17 years old, actively participates in Church and who has received the sacrament of Confirmation him/herself. Gender is irrelevant, men may select a female sponsor or vice versa.  However, if you choose a couple then they must be married in the Church.  Please provide us with the name(s) if you already know who you're going to invite for this special role.
