The Marin Women’s Commission is looking for Marin teen girls in Grades 8-12 to serve as Marin Teen Girl Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, you will take an active role in shaping the annual Marin Teen Girl Conference
What is the Ambassador Program?
The Marin Teen Girls Conference (MTGC) Ambassador Program is an incredible opportunity for girls in Marin to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on their community. As an Ambassador, you’ll have the power to shape the entire conference experience. You’ll take the lead in key areas such as selecting the conference theme, conducting outreach for workshops, leveraging community partnerships, and driving marketing, social media, sponsorships, etc. Ambassadors will also receive community service hours, and have unique access to professional development and networking opportunities.
The objectives of the Ambassador program are:
- To create a conference “for girls, by girls,” fostering collaboration and empowerment.
- To provide each Ambassador with opportunities for growth and leadership by actively participating in planning (e.g., workshops, fundraising, outreach) and the conference itself.
- To represent the Teen Girl Conference at your school and within your community, promoting the event and encouraging participation.
- To attend ALL Ambassador meetings, with the exception of two excused absences.
The 2025 MTGC will be held on March 2nd, 2025. Meetings will take place every other Sunday evening 4pm to 6pm from October until the conference, with weekly meetings in the final month leading up to the event.
MANDATORY Key dates all applicants must be able to commit to:
