Want a productive garden without using a lot of space?  Think raised beds.  There are many advantages to raised beds: improved soil drainage, easier weed control, easy access.  Come out on Friday, June 14, 9 am-11 am, to Community Garden for Community Good, by the Corpening YMCA Soccer Fields, 348 Grace Corpening Drive, Marion to learn about raised bed gardening and get your hands dirty.  Anything that can be planted in the ground can be planted in a raised bed.  Raised beds are also available for a small rental fee.  This program will be presented by the McDowell County Master Gardener Volunteers.  This event is free!
