The time for this year’s Essay Panel Competition has arrived once more!  We have selected the theme, settled the event date and we're going virtual because of the pandemic.  We’re looking forward to your participation in our Annual EPC  January 23, 2020 over Zoom; In shaa’ Allah.

Parental Agreement  - Applicable to any parent whose child earns 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place or is recognized with an award of "Special Essay", or "Special Speech" in EPC 2021.

I give rights to The Mafiq Foundation to publish my child’s essay and/or poster if selected, electronically or  in the next edition of Young Muslim Voices, and also posting/publicizing photos or videos of the zoom event in promotional social media outlets.  I agree to NOT hold The Mafiq Foundation, its affiliates, board members, employees, volunteers, directors, agents, or members liable for negative experiences, issues, problems, mishaps, accidents, or injuries.

If you are a resident from outside Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC area and you intend to participate in nthe EPC contest then PLEASE tell us the option that you use for SPEECH Contest.
The event will be virtual so you need to be familiar with the virtual meeting.  Please tell us about your familiarity with Zoom meeting.
EPC Workshops 2021
We do plan to schedule virtual workshops in Maryland, DC, and Virginia to introduce the structure and rules of our annual Essay Panel Competition, this year's themes, and to teach the fundamentals of essay writing.

These on-demand workshops will only be available if at least 10 competitors pre-register for each session. Please pre-register as early as possible, and assist us with serving youth of our communities.

Particularly this year, one of the workshops will focus on the theme (faith Through Actions) and another one on the steps in laying down the foundation of an essay.
