YFoEE Training on Intersectionality, Commons and Green Deal for Europe
Young Friends of the Earth Europe is part of the pan-European SYSTEM:RESET project, which is building platforms across Europe to bring young people from under-represented communities into multi-levelled decision-making and build strong, collective visions for a socially just and ecologically sound future.

SYSTEM:RESET is led by Friends of the Earth groups in Ireland, Malta, Denmark, Estonia, North Macedonia, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia and Austria. It will empower 3,300 young people, at least 500 of whom are marginalised youth, to embark on collective visioning and joint planning, and have their demands amplified in national and European decision making processes. It will bring about increased awareness of these issues to 150,000 European citizens, and encourage the EU and the national policy makers to act on the demands and solutions proposed by young people in order to bring about the just, intersectional transformation of society we need by 2030.

Online Training information:
SYSTEM:REST training will be series of webinars (i.e. one to two hours each) from 10th to 12th June.

The training will include:

- Parallel training sessions for the communicators
- Parallel training sessions for the organisers (organising for the issues of Commons)
- Information and Speakers for Green Deal for Europe (and nationally)
- Speakers for different case studies then organising for the commons (TBC)
- Planning Sessions for local and international activities (explained below)

We welcome at least to 2 people per group who will be following the training for the organisers, and up to 1 person per group who will be engaged in the training for the communicators. Please indicate which training you will follow in the application below.

Beyond the training:

All YFoEE groups will be invited to express their interests in organising local activities and establishing local 'youth hubs' within the topics covered at the training. While the groups within SYSTEM:RESET project already have been granted some money for their activities for the next 2 years, other 8 YFoEE member groups will be able to receive up to 600 eur. for their activities through EYF. The activities shall start after the training and be fulfilled before end of October 2020. Please indicate in the application if your group would be interested in this opportunity. SYSTEM:RESET partners can also express their interest as a potential co-funding to their activities. More information will be given during the training and short applications for groups will open after the training. There will be time and sessions dedicated to plan the local activities.

The training will start on 10th of June in the morning and will end on 12th of June in the evening.

Deadline for applications: 8th of June, 2020. Confirmation emails will be sent prior to the sessions, with connection details.

We particularly encourage applications from people who feel under- or un-represented in the environmental movement to apply – for example on the basis of (dis)ability, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, or country of origin.

At YFoEE, we provide safe, supportive spaces, and promote inclusiveness. The training will be in English, but we can provide linguistic support (please specify this in your application).
