FuJET: Azuma Kofuji Hike/Mt. Issaikyo Hike

First Stop: Azuma Kofuji

This part of the hike is for all level hikers! It is about a 10 minute ascent to the crater. The stairs up to the crater is smooth. The trail around the crescent is uneven and slippery in some areas. Main Event: Mt. Issaikyo (Witches Eye) Hike

This hike is for medium to intermediate level hikers. From the parking lot to the summit will take about 80 minutes. Round trip ~ including marshland is 7km in total (3.5hrs). Altitude 1948.8m.

Unfortunately this year they have suspended bus services from Fukushima Station to the Jododaira, so you will have to come by car. If you need a ride we will try to accommodate those traveling far, but be aware we are limited to those who can pick you up in your area/are near the major train stations.

Please bring lots of water, and don't forget to pack a lunch! Wear appropriate clothing, footwear and sunscreen. Hiking boots are recommended, but trainers are fine. You might want to bring a towel, a windbreaker for the summit, and extra clothing.

We will cancel the event due to bad weather, or if the trail becomes inaccessible. Please be on the lookout for updates through email and posts of FB.
