In the event of a cancellation, the requester must inform UMBPD no less than four hours before the scheduled start of the detail; otherwise, they will be billed for four hours per the police officer’s collective bargaining agreement. Please be aware that any work conducted in a roadway or events where alcohol is being served will likely necessitate a police detail.
To cancel a police detail, please ensure to promptly contact and inform the on-duty police supervisor at 617-287-7780. If notification of cancellation isn't provided at least 4 hours in advance, the requestor will still be billed for the detail.
