2021 Rules Survey

Please take a moment to answer some gameplay rules at VSC. These rules for discussion are only for local play and will not affect CBHA events or Provincial play. We're just looking at what you think of certain rules we use! We also have a couple questions at the end about actual gameplay for training purposes.

What Division do you typically play in? *

With respect to High Sticking the Ball, please choose the rule you would prefer. *

Keep the rule the same. Immediate minor penalty for touching the ball above the normal height of the shoulders.

Whistle the play immediately. No penalty. Faceoff moves to the defensive zone of the offending team

Play continues with no whistle.

When looking at players in the crease, please choose the rule you would like best. *

Whistle the play dead when a player sets up in the crease. Faceoff comes outside the zone, no penalty is assessed unless goaltender interference occurs. (We used this rule in the cohort seasons)

Only allow no goal when the ball enters the net when a player is not legally in the crease (This was the old rule, pre-covid)

Assess a penalty anytime someone enters the crease illegally.

For stick infractions, which enforcement would you prefer for minor infractions? *

2 minute minor penalty (ISBHF rule)

4 minute minor penalty (Current rule, only one goal can be scored)

Double minor penalty (Old rule, two goals can be scored on one infraction)

For timing of penalties at VSC with the running clock, would you prefer: *

Running time 3/6/7 minute penalties. Clock continues to run

Running time 2/4/5 minute penalties. Clock continues to run

Stop time 2/4/5 minute penalties. Penalty clock stops at whistles (current system)

Referees are calling TOO MANY stickwork penalties
