Dance Team is $500 for the school year 2022/23, August 10 - May 11, which includes 2/hours of practice one day per week.  The Elementary School team is on Thursdays 3:15-5:15 pm.  The Middle School Team is on Wednesdays 12:15 - 2:15 pm.  Students head to the gym directly after school, dress out and begin class.  Payments are broken up into two sessions.  The first session, August 10 - December 15, with a tuition of $250.  The second session is January 18 - May 11 with a tuition of $250.  Please mark the Session/s in which you will be paying for at this time or have already paid through your school Sign Up Genius. *

I understand that the payment per session is due before the first day of class.  Failure to provide sufficient funds will un-enroll your student, and any instructor or person affiliated with Pure Technique or Legacy Traditional Schools will not be held responsible for your child's after school care. *
There is a costume fee of $50/Semester and a $35 performance fee/Semester that will be due by the third class.  Extra shipping fees will be applied to the costume price if not paid by the due date.  The student can attend practice but will not be able to perform unless the performance fee is paid. *
We have a 2 class tryout policy.  I understand that no refunds will be given after the 2nd class in attendance. *
I understand that I must inform Pure Technique in advance and make payment arrangements if my student will be attending the following session or your student's spot will be open to another.   *
I understand that additional paperwork will be given on the first day of class which needs to be filled out promptly and returned by the following class.  The paperwork may include Game Schedules, additional information and/or, a Waiver of Liability.   *
I understand that if paperwork is not filled out by the 2nd class, the student will not be able to participate until the paperwork is returned.  If the paperwork is not returned by the 4th class, the student will no longer be enrolled and tuition paid will be non-refundable. *
I understand that there may be additional costs to me such as dance shoes, practice wear, clothing and/or makeup to complete the look of my student dancer for practice and performances. *
Picture Day is normally held on the 2nd to the last day of class and the Final Performance is normally on the last day of class. Our end of session Final Performance may be per campus or combined with other campuses.  Students will perform all the dances they have learned throughout the semester/year.  Dance Team members are expected to attend both pictures and Final Performance with all costume requirements, but are at their own discretion of whether to purchase pictures or not.  Dates of pictures and Final Performance are tentative and will be confirmed at a later time. *
Proper practice and performance wear are required for the student to participate.  Failure to provide required dance attire will cause the student to sit out for the duration of the class or game in which they are not dressed for.  I will uphold this standard and insure that my student is prepared with required materials, as well as, a water bottle.  Proper attire, and updates will be sent through e-mail/handouts. *
Students are to dress out directly after school release and be prepared for class by the allotted class time.  Three warnings will be given to the student if he/she is late or not dressed out, after which they will sit out for the class.  Three sit outs will be cause for the student to be released from the team, with no refund.   *
I understand that we will meet at the address of 3201 South Gilbert Rd. Chandler, Arizona 85286 at Legacy Traditional Schools - Chandler.  My student participates in the Gym Area. Locations within the facility are subject to change and you will be informed by e-mail. *
I understand that class will not be held on holidays and I will make other arrangements for my child on those days. *
I will pick up my student at given release times for all classes and games or I will make arrangements for my student to be picked up at given release times.  Parent pick up for classes will be in the front of the school by the office.  Enter the driveline lane closest to the office.  A parent or guardian is allotted 10 minutes after release time for practices, games, or performances to pick up their student.  If the child is not picked within that time frame, Legacy Traditional Schools parent pick up Policies will be enforced which states,  "Students attending after school activities, including tutoring, sports and clubs, have varying dismissal times. Students picked up more than 10 minutes after dismissal of these programs will be considered a late pick-up. If late pick-ups are excessive (more than 3), students may be subject to removal from the activity. If we are not able to contact you or emergency contacts listed, we may be required to call local authorities to assist. Staff is not permitted to transport children to or from the program. If late pick-ups are excessive (more than 3), parents may be subject to legal action." *
I understand that communication from Pure Technique comes primarily through e-mail and I will frequently check my e-mail for updates and information.  Given the event that the instructor becomes ill, she/he will give a 24 hour notice to parents, excluding emergency situations that may not be able to be pre-determined.   *
I give my student permission to perform in after school sporting events placed on Legacy Traditional Schools calendar, and/or other school related events.  Outside venue performances may be included on the Performance Schedule and a separate permission slip will be given to students when they arise. *
I understand that new performance opportunities that are not originally on the schedule may arise and or changes may be made to the schedule.  I will frequent my e-mail or the live google document that will be provided for any updates or changes made to the schedule.   *
Parents/students of the team will uphold the highest quality of behavior and uphold Legacy Traditional Schools standards.  Parents/students will be given 3 warnings if behavior is a problem.  After the 3rd warning a decision will be made to either keep the student or release the student from the team.  No refunds will be given to the released student.     *
Attendance for class and games are important for the team, as well as a dancers individual growth.  I will do my best to uphold a high standard for attendance.  I will inform Pure Technique within 24 hours if my child will not be in attendance for class.  This excludes emergency situations or unforeseen illnesses.  Classes may not be made up unless specific or special arrangements are able to be made between all parties involved. I will do my best in giving 2 weeks notice if my child will not be in attendance for games/performances.  This excludes emergency situations or unforeseen illnesses.  If the student misses without an appropriate reason, the student may be in jeopardy of sitting out for the following game/performance. *
I understand that the game/performance schedule will be given at a later date when the calendars are finalized. *
Required
Students must be dressed in full performance attire, hair, and makeup upon arrival by dancer call time to a game or performance.  If they are not prepared, they will not perform.  My student and I will uphold this standard. *
Dancers normally perform at half time during games or have a scheduled time to perform at Legacy events.  Some events, such as assemblies may not permit family attendance.  Half time during games is normally an approximated time and cannot be specified.  Please arrive early to the game to ensure you will not miss the performance.  After the performance or game is over the Dance Team will have Team Discussion, clean up, then be released.  I support this policy. *
Parents, family members, and other persons that are not a volunteer or part of the team, are not allowed in the practice or backstage area.  Parents will need to wait until the student is dismissed and checked out by the coach for parent pick up.  I will uphold this policy. *
I understand that any instructor affiliated with Pure Technique teaches through Tactile Learning, which involves physical guidance.  For example, the instructor may lift the students arm or adjust the rib cage for better placement.  If I or my student is uncomfortable with this I will inform the instructor before the first class in attendance. *
I understand that participation before, during, and after class is important for a dancer's growth, and optimal achievement will require practice outside of normal class hours as well.  Practice videos may be given for homework.  During class the student will need to give their best effort in order to perform.  If a student's participation level is low, the student is subject to being with-drawn from a performance or sections of a performance.  Practices directly before a performance are crucial for success.  If the dancer is not in attendance for the 2 practices before a performance, he/she is subject to be with-drawn from the performance.   *
Two workshops may be held each year that may require your dancers attendance.  Workshops will most likely be held during normal class hours for convenience, but on occasion may not be.  Workshops are important for a dancers growth and are also used as a fundraiser for the team and other PureTechnique Dance Programs.  Required workshops will be free for dancers.
