Caring With Confidence March 2022
Delivered in partnership with Credu and funded by Powys County Council, DLF invites you to a FREE, new one-day course designed specifically for those caring for loved ones, to help give confidence to navigate the health and social care system and understand the equipment available to support you and your loved ones enjoy greater independence.

The course is designed to accommodate the specific needs of those attending and to answer questions they may have, provide useful tips and show the tools and aids that will help to improve quality of life.

Learning outcomes
1. Gain knowledge of the various roles within health and social care and understand their purpose and expertise
2. Understand the services available to the public within health and social care and how to access these
3. Have a better understanding of the terminology used in the health and social care sector
4. Understand how aids and equipment can compensate for a loss of function to carry out daily living tasks
5. Practice using some aids to daily living
6. Understand online support and guided advice tools available such as AskSARA.

Optional: If you wish to use your experience and are considering a career in the health and social care sector, a ‘Level 3 certificate of accreditation’ can also be achieved after the course is completed, by submitting a small piece of written work in your own time.
