Spring 2022 GSG Poster Symposium and Conference Call for Abstracts
The GSG Poster Symposium and Conference offers graduate students a large forum and audience to showcase their research/creative work and compete for cash prizes. Graduate students of NAU from all disciplines are encouraged to submit abstracts for this symposium.

The structure of the Spring 2022 Poster Symposium and Conference:

1. The Poster Symposium: as in years past, graduate students submit their poster for review by a panel of judges; a cash prize for the top 3 posters; all posters will be made public. The Symposium will take place in person on March 31, 2022.
2. The Conference (optional): graduate students present their work in 7 minutes using their Poster Symposium poster to guide their talk; to be done live, via Zoom on April 9, 2022. It is not possible to participate in the Conference without having submitted a poster to the Poster Symposium.

Important information for participants:
• February 11, 2022: Abstracts due; please complete the form below.
• February 28, 2022: PDF of your poster due to GSGposter@nau.edu. Please email a PDF of your poster using GSGPOSTER_FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME in the subject line. Make sure the PDF is large enough to be visible and legible to judges who will be viewing it.
• March 31, 2022: The Poster Symposium will take place in person on the NAU Flagstaff campus. Please print out your poster and be ready to answer the questions from the symposium attendees. NOTE: If you are unable to travel to Flagstaff for the in-person Symposium, you are still eligible to participate in it!
- April 9, 2022: The Poster Symposium Conference; live, via Zoom. If you are interested in presenting your PS poster at the Conference, please indicate so in the form below. The conference will be a great opportunity for you to practice presenting your research and getting feedback on your presentation.

Other information:
The Graduate Student Government Poster Symposium and Conference highlights a variety of programs, papers, projects, creative work, and research studies of the graduate students of NAU from all disciplines. The event provides an opportunity for students to introduce their research to those outside of their discipline, enhance their presentation skills, and represent their respective colleges.

This is a great opportunity to present your work visually (the Poster Symposium) and also practice presenting your research in a small group environment to attendees interested in current research at NAU (the Conference). Feel free to prepare your poster as if you were presenting to peers / general audience (i.e., do not overuse field-specific terms).

IMPORTANT: Please note that GSG is not responsible for recording your presentation. However, upon request, GSG will be able to provide a signed confirmation of your participation in the Symposium and/or Conference.
