To support the school district planning and allow our teachers time to work on plans for in-person and online learning simultaneously, please submit this form no later than Friday, August 28th back to the school. For new students who enroll after August 28th, you may declare which option you would like during enrollment. This form is for the beginning of the year. Students may switch one time per trimester. For example; if a student starts in-person and wants to switch to online they may. At the end of each trimester we will assume that your child will stay in the same learning format unless we are told differently. For students that choose the online option, please mark either live-streaming or video lessons. If you choose video lessons we will be in contact to set up a system for attendance. It would be too difficult for teachers to have students live-stream one day and watch videos on other days for attendance purposes so either one or the other must be declared . This too can be switched one time per trimester.
The State of Minnesota has compulsory attendance laws that must be adhered to which includes that 7 unexcused absences on 7 days for elementary students or a minimum of 7 hours which have to occur on 7 different days for high school students could result in truancy. We will need to monitor this very closely this year with the different teaching/learning models. It is important to keep in contact with the school at all times if you are experiencing any difficulty with school in either format.
We are brand new to all of this so we thank you in advance for your patience while we maneuver through this new territory. Please contact us at 507-776-2111 or e-mail

This form is for the 2020-21 school year only.
