We are excited to have our NCAIS Honors Band Festival at UNC - Wilmington on Thursday/Friday October 6-7th

Our festival will include a middle school band, conducted by Jessica Meade and a high school band conducted by Dr. Dominic Talanca. Repertoire will be level 1-2 for our middle school band and 4-5 for our high school band.

The festival schedule will begin on Thursday, October 6 at On Friday at 12:30pm and end on Friday, October 7 at 12:30pm, with a final concert at Kenan Auditorium at 2:30pm. Participants will be off campus by 4pm on Friday.

In addition to full band instruction, students will receive section instruction from faculty of the UNC-W Music Department for their specific instrument. We are also looking to offer a percussion ensemble experience for percussionists in addition to performing with the full bands.

Two on-campus dining hall meals will also be included in the festival for participating students and directors. Directors are strongly encouraged to attend this clinic, and there must be at least one guardian representing each participating school at the clinic at all times.
 
Auditions will not be required, but we will have caps on participants of each instrument to field a balanced ensemble. We will send out a formal student registration by August 19, close registration by September 2nd, and select band students by September 9th.
