Grinch Stole Christmas in Whoville - 2022 Christmas Parade
Chelsea, OK annual Christmas parade - Starts at 6pm- Please line up at the football field entrance of the High School by 4:45 pm. We had over 40 floats in 2021 and needed more time to be able to get everyone lined up.  A meeting will be held at 5pm to go over rules and to make sure everyone has a fire extinguisher on board of their floats. No riders on 4 wheelers under the age of 18!

Agreement
We agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce, it's employees, and agents against any and all claims resulting from our participation in the 2022 Christmas Parade to be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at 6:00 pm.  

Overview
This annual event welcomes in the holiday season and is a celebration of the giving season with our community. Everyone is encouraged to attend to help spread the Christmas cheer. It is FREE to participate in the parade!

Theme
This year's Christmas theme will be "the Grinch Stole Christmas in Whoville". Please design and decorate your entry to include the theme. Entries will be judged and the top entries will be recognized and highlighted by the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce.

Staging
The parade will line up at 4:45 PM at the Chelsea High School football field. Participants must be in place no later than 5:30 PM. If you are unable to be there at time stated, we will assume that you were not able to make it. If you arrive late we will do our best to fit you in, however, we cannot guarantee your participation after 5:50 PM.

Parade Route
The parade will start at 6:00 PM at the high school and proceed down Mainstreet and ending to the left on Olive street.

Safety
Throwing candy from parade float or vehicles is strictly prohibited. Please have someone walk along the sides of the float or vehicle (safely away from moving vehicles) to distribute candy to the spectators. All floats must have a fire extinguisher! No riders on 4-wheelers under the age of 18!

Lineup Position
You will be contacted by email with a lineup position for staging on the morning of the parade. You will receive this notification no later than Saturday, December 3, 2022 by 3 pm. Your position number will be clearly marked in the parking lot. Please position yourself between your number and the next greater number. If you do not receive a lineup, we will take care of it at the staging area.

Recognizing and Announcing Your Entry
A stage will be set up along the parade route. To announce/recognize your parade entry if not done prior, please provide the language you would like to be stated as you pass. Please keep comments to a paragraph. The announcer reserves the right to edit the comments due to timing, grammar, and flow of the event.
