The Community United Church of Christ awards the Carolyn and Cy King Peace and Justice Award annually to recipients who embody the spirits of service and grace and work toward justice and peace in our community and world. We seek nominees who have done outstanding work for several years or more in such areas including BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Civil rights

  • Racial justice

  • Creation/environmental justice

  • Cash bail reform, criminal law, prisons, and jails

  • Community and world peace and reconciliation

  • Gender justice and equity

  • Disability rights

  • Economic justice, including affordable housing

  • LGBTQ and transgender rights

  • Educational reform

  • Access to reproductive health care

  • Domestic violence prevention

  • Children's rights; child welfare

  • Immigrant rights
